Beschreibung: | Reflecting is seen as an essential activity to be developed (also) in mathematics classrooms. There is a broad consensus in literature on this. However, reflection seems to have hardly arrived (Austrian) mathematics lessons yet. One reason for this is a lack of carefully designed resources. For example, the proportion of reflection tasks in textbooks is extremely low. In the project "Reflecting in mathematics classrooms", one focus is on the design of tasks that should encourage students to reflect on mathematics. In the lecture, characteristics of reflection tasks that are relevant for task design are described and four categories of reflection tasks are presented and discussed in more detail and concretized by examples of tasks. |
