Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with physio geographical methods and to enable them to plan and execute them under guidance.
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
The syllabus will be given and discussed the first day in class. Please, note that there will be field work the 15.10 and 22.10 from 8:30 -12:30 h. In this course the physical presence is obligatory during the first half of the course. The second half, it is taught through webinars.
Course content
The course deals with theoretical information (literature) and practical experiences (fieldwork) of relevant methods used in geomorphology, soil, climate, vegetation, animal, hydrogeography and ecohydrology.
Prior knowledge expected
Introduction to physical geography.
Literature
Basic literature for the oral presentations : Here we use an introductory literature in German, "Arbeitsmethoden der Physischen Geographie" by Karl-Heinz Pfeffer (2006).
