Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

In this course, students conduct empirical studies related to English as a foreign language learning and learner cooperation. Opportunities for data collection will be provided at an excursion to a COOL school in Upper Austria.

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

Participants engage in group discussions based on academic literature, observations, and presentations. Students receive expert information about research methodology and the composition of research proposals and research reports.

Peer cooperation and peer feedback are central for working on research projects and papers in this course. Focused tutoring on the research report will be offered.

Course content

In addition to class meetings at AAU, there will be an excursion to Linz/Rohrbach from 25-27 November, 2019. Full attendance at the excursion is a knock-out criterion for this course.
