Intended learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:

- demonstrate knowledge of linguistic notions linked to the course topics and linguistics in general;

- demonstrate a competence in discussing, evaluating and independently analyzing major linguistic phenomena; and

- demonstrate knowledge of the general global picture of the field of English linguistics.

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

The classes will typically include lectures followed by mini discussions in class.
