Inhalt/e
In this lecture an introduction into elementary concepts of statistics will be given. After a brief discussion of basic terms the fundamental techniques of descriptive statistics will be presented. Subsequently, the basics of hypothesis testing (chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U-test, t-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, analysis of variance) and of regression and correlation analysis will be presented. In addition, a short introduction into SPSS will be given.
Erwartete Vorkenntnisse
Fundamentals of descriptive statistics, probabaility theory and test theory including Excel (syllabus of AHS and BHS) are prerequisite.
