Intended learning outcomes

Development of intercultural competence. Being able to reflect the situation of Expats 

Differ between Expats,Impats and other status of international employees. Knowing theoreticalapproaches to cultural dimensions. Knowing about the procedure in theonboarding process.

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

Course content

The course will provide acosmopolitical view to the daily life inglobaloperating industrial companies inCarinthia and examinehowintercultural/transcultural aspects are handled withindiversity managementinthose companies. Expats, Impats and their situation afterrelocation willbediscussed. For companies cultural diversity is crucial asheterogeneousteamsare the normality. Participants will learn about theimplementationofintercultural tools in diversity management in companies andare expectedtounderstand the differences of transcultural, intercultural,pluraliculturalandmulticultural approaches. Locomotion records and biographieswill giveaninsight into the situation of Expats and Impats. Group discussionwill focusonthe advantages of intercultural competences.
