Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

The students will learn how to design and make simple circuits using passiveand active components. They will also learn how to use basic laboratoryequipment such as power supplies, voltmeters, oscilloscopes and signalgenerators.

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

Brief explanation of the tasks and practical activity.

Course content

- Presentation of the functionalities of different lab instruments

- Introduction to passive circuits

- Introduction to diodes, transistors and operational amplifiers

- Introduction to active circuits

- Assignment of different tasks that have to be solved in small groups

Prior knowledge expected

Basics of math and electronics.

Examination information

Im Fall von online durchgeführten Prüfungen sind die Standards zu beachten, die die technischen Geräte der Studierenden erfüllen müssen, um an diesen Prüfungen teilnehmen zu können.

Examination methodology

The students are demanded to write a final report that will be evaluated. An oral exam will follow, to check the understanding of the course topics.

- Final report: 70%
- Oral examinations: 30%

To complete the course the final report and the oral examination must be positively completed.
