Examination information

Im Fall von online durchgeführten Prüfungen sind die Standards zu beachten, die die technischen Geräte der Studierenden erfüllen müssen, um an diesen Prüfungen teilnehmen zu können.

Examination methodology

  • There are 9 sessions of 75 minutes.
  • The assignments are handed out via Moodle approximately a week before the session.
  • For each problem, one of the students volunteering to present a solution is selected, allowing them to obtain presentation points.
  • Each presented solution is worth up to 4 presentation points; these presentation points are only used to calculate session points as described below. Points are awarded for correctness, clarity, brevity, originality, etc.
  • For each session, session points are awarded as follows: Sum of presentation points of the student of this session multiplied by the number of persons (registered students [only those students are counted which obtain at least 5 points in total] plus lecturer) present divided by the number of problems presented in the session (including those presented by the lecturer in case no student volunteers).
  • Quiz points: In four of the exercise sessions (2.4., 30.4., 14.5., 4.6.) there will be a short quiz on the contents of the lecture and the exercises. For every quiz, up to one quiz point can be earned.
  • Unregistration is possible until March 31st. After this date, you will get a grade  in any case.
