The course is intended to introduce students with various theoretical and methodological approaches in the domain of cognitive ageing. We will cover the topics ranging from age-related declines and increases that occur in cognitive processes, such as perception, memory and mental lexicon, but also see how expertise and knowledge influence aging in the case of real-life skills. For each meeting students are required to read and prepare studies that are going to be discussed on that class. The classes are going to be combination of lectures about theoretical, methodological and statistical approaches used in the studies of ageing with thorough discussion of the studies.
