LV-Beschreibung
Intendierte Lernergebnisse
At the end of the course students are able to:
- analyze concrete problems and create suitable models,
- evaluate different solution techniques,
- implement appropriate algorithms using state of the art tools,
- assess their solutions with respect to the underlying application, and
- present their work to a scientific audience.
Lehrmethodik inkl. Einsatz von eLearning-Tools
Students will work (possibly in groups) on a project involving the analysis of a practical problem, the evaluation of different solution methods, the implementation of suitable algorithms, and the assessment and presentation of their solution.
Inhalt/e
Applying mathematical methods to concrete problems (modeling, analysis, solution, presentation).
Erwartete Vorkenntnisse
Participants in this PR must have finished their Bachelor in Mathematics. Additionally they are expected to have attended some of the compulsory courses from the Master Curriculum of Mathematics.
