Course Information
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
Group work, group project, lecture, communicative activities, presentations, extensive self-study, homework assignments, vocabulary tests and written and spoken assessments.
Course content
This class builds on English I by further developing students’ ability to communicate fluently and effectively in the English speaking workplace.
Skills that will be developed throughout this course are:
- Writing a business plan: This will be a group project, spanning over several sessions, in which students develop their own idea for a start-up company here in Carinthia. Key sections of the business plan that are covered include market research, marketing, competitor analysis and operations and logistics.
- Writing skills (reader-friendly business writing)
- Presentation skills
- Participating in a meeting
- Subject-specific vocabulary
