LV-Beschreibung

Intendierte Lernergebnisse

After taking this course, students will have deepened their knowledge in carrying out practical measurements. They are aware of the concept of measurement uncertainty and its application as well as more elaborate concepts of data acquisition and model building as well as equipment calibration.

Lehrmethodik

This course is structured into distinct laboratory exercises which have to be carried out in groups of max. four people. Each group has to perform each experiment once. Afterwards, a report has to be handed in.

Inhalt/e

Topics include:

Electromagnetic force balance
Impedance matching and spectrum analyzer usage
Temperature measurement
Solar cell characterizations

Software: mainly LabView and Matlab

Reports, class contribution, oral exams if necessary.

Beurteilungskriterien/-maßstäbe

The grade is made up partially from the reports as well as active contribution. Since individual grading is necessary, the prevalent criterion for your mark is the contribution in class.
