Intended learning outcomes
- Not to be scared to do a seminar in english :-)
- Demonstrate critical thinking about organisational life, NGOs, social movements and other forms of engagement
- Identify key theories in organizational communication reserahc and apply these theories in your analysis of organisational communication
- Apply strategies, analyse and critique organisational communication, considering ethical challenges for organisations today
- Demonstrate interview skills and work with the collected material

Course content
Together, we will identify stakeholder engagement as one of the core topics of current organizational communication research. Therefore, we will explore relevant literature and concepts as a background. Much more, we will focus on our own experiences with getting engaged for social, environmental or cultural issues and learn about other peoples engagement. Our focus is the role of communication for engagement as well as new interview methods to learn about the "organizational processes" behind any forms of engagement.
