Course Information

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

Course content

The theory of economic policy: fixed targets, flexible targets; static and dynamic theory; strategic theory; applications to macroeconomic policy problems (fiscal and monetary policy).

Prior knowledge expected

Target group: Bachelor and Master students in economics andbusiness administration.

Prerequisites: Working knowledge of the English language; basic knowledge of macroeconomics; basics of calculus and linear algebra; some knowledge of microeconomics and operations research desirable.

Examination methodology

Prerequisites for a positive assessment:

Oral and written examination at the end of the course (40 % each).

Execution of some exercises (10 %).

Positive assessment of the participation in the discussions (10 %).

Regular attendance.
