Course Information

Course overview

The course Digital Signal Processors applies the theoretical knowledge of digital signal processors to real-world problems. The students implement, under guidance of the lecturer, various digital filters for audio- and image processing using C and Assembler language. All examples are implemented for the TMS320C6416 architecture as a target platform, and evaluated using real hardware, so-called developer starter kits (DSK). The runtime performance is analysed and optimised using various techniques such as memory mapping and software pipelining.
