Intendierte Lernergebnisse
Students will have an understanding of main areas of language testing research. They will understand the nature of validation and have a clear understanding of aspects of validity and how these can be addressed in the course of developing assessment tools and, particularly, after these tools have been administered. Future teachers, in particular, should benefit from a deeper understanding of the theoretical foundations of current assessment practice in Austria.
Lehrmethodik inkl. Einsatz von eLearning-Tools
Reading assignments; discussion of reading assignments; demonstration of research approaches by means of data made available by instructor; group work; developing a tentative outline for a research project and presenting it orally and in a short seminar paper. Structure for presentation and paper will be suggested by course instructor and discussed in class.
