LV-Beschreibung

Intendierte Lernergebnisse

This course aims at familiarising students with post-colonial literature through the reading and analysis of selected representative texts in light of postcolonialism and the postcolonial theory. In the examination of the texts, which will cover novels, novellas and play texts, we will look at how cultural identity, ethnicity, gender, race, language and power are reflected by the leading writers representing postcolonial literature  and discuss how these writers react to the discourse of colonisation.
