Inhalt/e

  • Introduction to Traffic Simulation, Management and control.
  • Overview of traffic Simulation models
  • Overview of traffic Management, Control and Optimization Systems/tools (Synchro7, Cube5, Vissim, Visum, Spot, Utopia, Transyt, Sidra, SCOOT, SCAT, etc.)
  • Lab. 1: Simulation of Queuing Systems using MATLAB
  • Lab. 2: Simulation of „Car-following“ model using SIMULINK
  • Lab. 3: Simulation of the Traffic Flow Dynamics/Behavior using ODEs and PDEs models
  • Lab. 4: Algorithms of optimization in MATLAB (See Optimization tool-boxes)
  • Lab. 5: Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and application to solving ODEs
  • Lab. 6: Simulation of Traffic scenarios at junctions using „SYNCHRO tool-box“
  • Lab. 7: Modeling and Simulation in Logistics using „VENSIM“ or „POWERSIM“.
  • Small project on one of the 7 Labs.
