Lehrmethodik

The methodology used in this course is an adaptation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with teaching materials specifically designed for this course. Participants will be actively involved in planning the course contents as well as in the implementation of individual tutorial meetings.

Inhalt/e

The course introduces students to practical aspects of communicative English language teaching (ELT). It provides guidance in classroom observation and in preparing, teaching, and analysing lessons. The first class meeting on Monday, 7th March, 2016 will be followed by a meeting with the practice supervisors (at 6pm).

Lehrziel

The tutorial meetings will provide opportunities to plan, discuss, and evaluate approaches to communicative ELT within a supportive and cooperative learning environment. The tutorial meetings will further facilitate reflections on the students' first teaching experiences and encourage discussions on contemporary topics related to communicative ELT in Austria.
