Inhalt/e

Sociolinguistics is the study of how language serves and is shaped by the social nature of human beings. The seminar focuses on the multiple relations between language and this social nature of human beings: on English in its multiple and changing forms across the world, on ethnic influences on the English language, on how a speaker constructs his or her gendered identity in language and how language changes according to a speaker's age and many other aspects.
