4 Groups Need to develop a Prototyp each (or best-practices) for the Client Kleine Zeitung on the Topic of "Innovations in Digital News for Millennials"

A variety of teaching methods will be used in the seminar in order to facilitate achieving the above goals and objectives including lectures, readings, discussions, videos for discussion, review questions, and skill-building exercises.

Inhalt/e

The course will offer detailed insight into the contexts and structures, management, processes, economics of and controversies surrounding and permeating digital media & entertainment industries in the early 21st century. It will analyse the relationship between media, technology, business firms, markets, and society as driven by the issues of media convergence. Successful students will recognise media & entertainment management problems toward convergence in depth and detail and use critical thinking skills to develop awareness and understanding of how and why the media and their messages affect each of us. Notably, students will learn from one concrete industry player in Austria: The Kleine Zeitung and its travel and strategies into the convergence universe. Finally, they will know how to demonstrate analytical, and team working skills.

The aim of this course is to comprehend, analyse, discuss and evaluate advanced media and convergence management-related issues on the basis of one concrete case study exercise (Kleine Zeitung Kärnten / Stmk.).
