LV-Beschreibung
Inhalt/e
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are system composed by spatially distributed devices that sense the environment (e.g. measure the temperature) and exchange information with each other over a wireless channel. The devices have usually severe limitations on the battery capacity and on the computational power. Therefore, they require a specific operative system and a particular attention in the algorithms design. TinyOS is an event-driven operative system designed for WSNs. During the lab, students will learn how to create applications for networks of devices running TinyOS.Themen
- Basics on WSN
- Sensor devices' hardware
- TinyOS
- NesC
Lehrziel
Students will learn how to program devices running TinyOS and how to connect them in order to create applications for WSNs.Erwartete Vorkenntnisse
