Intendierte Lernergebnisse

At the end of this foundation course students should have done approx. 30 hours of interactive training in English to help them build up confidence and fluency. Written tasks should train them in the basics of reader-friendly communicative business writing. By focussing on thematic area Carinthia/Carinthian businesses English will be brought "close to home", trained as lingua franca for dealing with local concerns.

Im Fall von online durchgeführten Prüfungen sind die Standards zu beachten, die die technischen Geräte der Studierenden erfüllen müssen, um an diesen Prüfungen teilnehmen zu können.

4 minute business persuasive presentation, sales call or call to handle a problem, in-box correspondence test (short texts = e-mails)

Beurteilungskriterien/-maßstäbe

Presentations test (25%), phoning test (15%), business writing test/vocabulary test / assignments (40%) (remaining 20% = classwork/homework)
