Intendierte Lernergebnisse

Successful students will recognise media & entertainment management problems toward convergence in depth and detail and use critical thinking skills to develop awareness and understanding of how and why the media and their messages affect each of us. They will be aware of current debates the media and their industries inspire and provoke and will review and critique academic work on media & entertainment management behaviour. Finally, they will know how to demonstrate analytical, and team working skills

The aim of this course is to comprehend, analyse, discuss and evaluate advanced media and convergence management-related issues within OAM topics (economics, strategy, organisation) on an international scale. Special focus is placed on the following thematic background theory frameworks: • Media economics, managerial economics, and media management studies • Strategic media management theories

Lehrziel

The course will offer detailed insight into the contexts and structures, management, processes, economics of and controversies surrounding and permeating digital media & entertainment industries in the early 21st century. It will analyse the relationship between media, technology, business firms, markets, and society as driven by the issues of media convergence.
