Lehrmethodik

Introduction to the course by the course instructor followed Problem Based Learning (PBL), a student-centred methodology which encourages self-directed learning and cooperation between the course participants

Inhalt/e

The class introduces students to practical aspects of teaching English in the classroom and provides guidance in classroom observation and in preparing, teaching and analysing lessons.

The first meeting with the supervisors is on Monday, 2nd March, 2015!

Lehrziel

The course will make future teachers of English aware of their choices when preparing and teaching lessons. It will provide opportunities to plan, discuss and try out ideas for the classroom. Furthermore, the class will offer time and space for reflections on the trainees' first English teaching experiences.

Erwartete Vorkenntnisse

Knowledge from "Introduction to English Teaching Methodology"; registration for the teaching practice (1. Studienabschnitt); basic knowledge of Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Students are expected to read the information on PBL provided by the course instructor prior to the first class meeting.
