Lecture, hypotheticals, and case analysis. Slides and cases will be made available on Moodle.

Inhalt/e

The class in International Law provides an introduction to legal thinking.  Students will be led to explore legal issues of market entry, contract, business law, and intellectual property.  This exploration will be approached by looking at a fact pattern and working through the legal issues involved.  Thinking about the facts from a variety of legal perspectives should enable students to broadly answer the topic questions.

  • (1) What laws impact me?
  • (2) How can my business have a monopoly?
  • (3) What deals will hold up?

Convey a basic appreciation of legal constraints and begin developing issue spotting skills.
