This is the first-level course for students of computing, information management, mathematics, and technical degree programmes. The emphasis is on speaking and reading.

Teaching objective

To achieve reasonable spoken efficiency and accuracy plus basic written accuracy in both everyday and technical English, with a specific focus on issues in computer science.

Prior knowledge expected

Willingness to handle technical concepts and descriptions.
