LV-Beschreibung
Intendierte Lernergebnisse
The goal of this course is to familiarize students with physiogeographic methods and to enable them to plan and conduct fieldwork under supervision.
Lehrmethodik inkl. Einsatz von eLearning-Tools
The lecture is divided into two blocks:
1. important physio geographic measurement principles will be presented and discussed at the University of Klagenfurt (introduction by course leader/other experts and presentations by students). These include methods in geomorphology, soil, climate, biogeography and hydrogeography and its applications.
2. Some of the measurements and monitoring techniques covered in theory are explained in practice by the instructor and other experts. Practice will be demonstrated in the field and in the laboratory. Afterwards students will be expected to perform practical work independently (tutor will support the students during this work).
Inhalt/e
The course introduces theoretical and practical methods relevant to physiogeography including methods in geomorphology, soil, climate, vegetation, animal, and hydrogeography and applications.
