Intendierte Lernergebnisse
By the end of the course students will have acquired the skills to undertake high quality scientific research. They will have learned how to formulate a research question, undertake a literature review, deploy the appropriate methods, and articulate their findings in a compelling manner. They will also learn how to publish their research in highly ranked scholarly journals.

Each student is requiredto write a short original research proposal. In addition, each student willpresent their proposed research to the class for discussion and feedback
Inhalt/e
This course acquaints students with the skills required to make original and high impact contributions to the scholarly literature. It provides a foundation of what constitutes a scientific discipline and field and how and why scientific paradigms evolve in a predictable manner. Students will not only passively learn research skills but will apply them in developing their own research proposal and presenting that proposal for peer reviewed critique, feedback and discussion.
