Intendierte Lernergebnisse
By the end of the seminar, students should be able to create tasks and materials for education for sustainable development that is informed by data collected from learners and the classroom. More specifically, students will be able to
- describe, explain and critically reflect on the ESD competency model
- analyze textbook tasks based on the ESD competency model
- develop new tasks and projects to teach sustainable development
- develop research tools to collect data and feedback from learners while teaching ESD tasks and projects
An additional goal is for students who also teach at schools to create a set of materials, tasks and projects they can already use in their classes.
Lehrmethodik
The seminar will rely on a variety of teaching methods, including
- independent (but guided) group work analyzing textbook tasks, and developing new tasks and projects, and designing data collection methods to integrate in further task design
- short student presentations of findings and work
- open classroom discussions
- instructor-led input/presentations, modelled textbook task analysis, task/project design and data collection
- guided student reading

Prüfungsmethode/n
Portfolio: will consist of multiple assignments of reflection, documentation of in-class work and transfer.
Active Participation: This means being attentive in class, regularly asking qualitative content-related questions, and participating in activities during the session.
