Morphology as the study of the internal structure of words and Syntax as the study of the grammatical arrangement of words in a phrase or sentence are two separate, yet closely connected linguistic fields. In this proseminar, we will discuss basic concepts of both fields as well as their interfaces. We will also explore how knowledge of these concepts can be applied in the linguistic analysis of texts.
