LV-Beschreibung

Intendierte Lernergebnisse

The exercises support and illustrate contents of the lecture. Students should obtain a deeper understanding of the topics discussed in the lecture.

Lehrmethodik

Each week, students are expected to apply the materials from the lecture in order to solve problems on an exercise sheet. These exercises should be solved alone or in small groups. Each exercise sheet is uploaded to moodle about a week prior to the class.

In the exercise classes, students can volunteer to present their solutions in front of the class. Every student selects the exercises which they would like to present in advance; one of them will be chosen to present their solution. If no student volunteers for an exercise, the lecturer will either give a hint, conduct a break-out session for this exercise, or solve the exercise themselves.

At the end of the semester there will be a final exam where students are expected to solve problems similar to those given in the weekly exercise sheets.
