Intended learning outcomes
The exercises support and illustrate contents of the lectures. Students passing the exercises will obtain a deeper understanding of the contents.

Examination methodology
In addition to the weekly exercises on the exercise sheets, there will be a midterm test and a written exam at the end of the course. The final grade consists of the results of both.
The exam material includes almost all considered examples.

Assessment criteria / Standards of assessment for examinations
Composition of the grade:
70% of the total points achieved result from the two exams, 30% from the points achieved in the exercises.
In order to take part in the exams, >30% of the points from the exercise sheets must have been achieved.
50% of the points achieved are sufficient for a positive grade.
