The Seminar “Publications” is offered within the doctoral program “Health and Sustainability Communication and Management (HSCM)”. The interdisciplinary doctoral program provides the participants with extensive skills in communication and management in the health sector, for the area of sustainability and for assuming social responsibility. Within the scope of HSCM, three different doctoral degrees can be achieved: the doctorate in Natural Sciences (Dr.rer.nat.), the doctorate in Philosophy (Dr. phil.), and the doctorate in Social Sciences and Economics (Dr.rer.soc.oec.). The HSCM curriculum (see https://www.aau.at/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/HSCM-curriculum.pdf) recommends completing the seminar in the first semester of the HSCM program.

The overarching goal of the seminar is to get insights into the typical workflow of the publication process in academic research. Based on selected journal articles, students analyze and discuss how the research was performed and which methods were employed.
