LV-Beschreibung
Intendierte Lernergebnisse
You will gain knowledge about some computer and network security concepts and develop some skills to analyse the security of modern computing systems.
Lehrmethodik
There will be several challenges to solve: each challenge will require you to study some basic computer or network (security) concept, to learn how to use some tools or develop programming skills in a specific area, and then to solve a particular problem.
Depending on the number of participants, we may organise these challenges as group work.
All challenges will be guided via lab sheets: these will provide all necessary information and/or links to information, and each student (or small group) will work through them at the their own pace. The lecturers will be available as support, but largely this course requires you to take charge of your own learning.
Inhalt/e
A clear description of each challenge will be available via the Moodle page for this course (at the beginning of the term).
Erwartete Vorkenntnisse
None. The intended learning outcomes of the course include a review of basic computer/networking concepts, so this course is not just about learning about security/vulnerabilities but equally about basic computer/networking concepts. The course is intended for new students on the MSc AI and Cybersecurity.
