Intendierte Lernergebnisse

This seminar is on communicating research and other achievements.

The main focus will be on presenting one or more projects that were finished (or have at least achieved a significant milestone) during the course so far. Normally this would be done by means of a showcase event, but due to the current circumstances, this year virtual presentations will be developed.

A second focus will be on scientific publications, different kinds of papers and outlets, general structure of research papers and presentations.

Upon successful completion of this  module, students will be able to:

- present their research and practical results to the general public

- outline the general structure of research articles

- name best practices in publishing Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity research

- name major modalities of publications, such as papers in workshops and conference proceedings, in journals etc.

- describe the lifecycle of publishing research papers

Erwartete Vorkenntnisse

You should have completed at least one (mini) project during the course of your studies, which you can use as a basis for this module.

There is no specific exam. Grades will be determined by:

  • 30% for active participation during scheduled meetings
  • 20% for activities with general showcase event organisation
  • 50% for the produced artifact(s) for the showcase
