Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

Students shall gain an overview about various topics related to security and ethics, acquiring the ability to critically reflect about these aspects in their own work.

  • Psychological factors of security awareness
  • Robot cybersecurity and safety
  • Techno-feminist issues of robotics and AI
  • Robotic assistance devices in health and care
  • Human computer interaction and assisted living 
  • Humanisation of robots and their ethical pitfalls
  • Safety aspects of human-robot systems
  • From Human-Computer-Interaction  (HCI) to Human-Robot-Interaction (HRI) - state of the art, challenges and potentials
  • Everything goes!? Ethical reflections on the question of why security never makes us completely safe
