The game jam will take place on Dec 17-19, 2021 !
Students completing this class will be familiar with important terminology/tools in practical game engineering, and will be able to apply this knowledge to practical design processes. Personal skills will be honed. The advantages of organized teamwork will be underlined as well.

A large part of the course is held as a game jam, where we expect you to participate actively! The game jam will take place on Dec 17-19, 2021, and digital get-togethers are the tool of communication throughout this period.
Inhalt/e
Converting ideas into games that people want to play is one of the hardest and most demanding tasks in the development cycle.
This course introduces students to the craft of designing computer and video games through a game jam, which will be held online. Within 48 hours: create, test and talk. From an idea to a playable prototype.
Please expect two to three meetings (digital) for the course in December before the game jam. A schedule will be announced at the beginning of November 2021.

Prüfungsmethode/n
· Individual game jam reflection paper (post-mortem).
Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition, author/date) is expected for all written work.
· Online pitch presentation in January 2022 via Discord (dates to be announced)
Prüfungsinhalt/e
· Individual game jam reflection paper (post-mortem).
(1000 words, in Times New Roman 12 with 1.5 spacing, approx. 2,5 pages).
· Online pitch presentation: Description of individual input and experience during the game jam
project, based on the reflection.

· Mandatory participation in online lectures (meetings)
· Online Game Jam: Active participation! (If you can’t, please contact us immediately)
· Reflection paper (post-mortem) submission
