Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
The objectives of the course are the following: 1. Give participants a framework and a common “language” to understand the problems and the challenges which an Operations or Logistics Manager has to face in his/her job. 2. Give participants an understanding of the strategic relevance of Operations Management and Logistics. 3. Give participants an understanding of the main decisions (strategic, tactical and operative) in Operations Management and Logistics. 4. Give participants an understanding of the main OM principles, techniques and tools to analyze, diagnose and then to improve processes. 5. Give participants the opportunity to improve their practical and applied skills using CASE STUDIES and SIMULATIONS 6. Make participants improve their analytical and teamwork skills |
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
The use of CASE STUDIES and SIMULATIONS will be supported by introductory theory-based lectures and follow-up debriefing sessions
Course content
This course further elaborates on the contents of the corresponding lecture "Operations Management and Logistics I" through the use of CASE STUDIES and SIMULATIONS as well as practical examples and applied exercises.
