Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will have acquired theoretical and practical knowledge of the concepts related to teaching and assessing reading, listening, writing, & speaking. This course will also introduce students to the Common European Framework of Languages and the Austrian National Curriculum. Students will also have learned how to select and produce teaching materials suitable for different target groups. Students will also engage in and analyze teach teaching. 

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

  1. Reflection tasks on the curriculum and the Common European Framework of Languages (CEF)
  2. Tasks promoting critical analysis and evaluation of teaching materials
  3. Creating communicative exercises
  4. Evaluating approaches to testing and assessing written and oral skills
  5. Independent student work

This schedule will be discussed and agreed upon with students insofar as possible. I will be in contact after the admission process (Aufnahmeselektion) is complete with further details. 

You should have, at a minimum, a device with a stable internet connection, a microphone and headset, and (should it be needed) a camera. These will facilitate any eLearning sessions in this course.
