Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
Dear students, may I first of all welcome you you to the course... I can be contacted at S1doheny@edu.aau.at should you have any queries that are not addressed in the following information.
- Online attendance at the kick-off session on the 1st of March (6pm) is compulsory, as the basics of the course will be presented, and important administrational “stuff” will be tackled.
- The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of various forms of prose, poetry and drama, as well as introducing students to the notion of text analysis. Students will become familiar with relevant terminology and the historical development of storytelling and English literature.
- We shall also become dab hands using the tools to interpret and analyze texts. Students will also be given a forum in which to develop their presentation skills, as each student will present a 15min Powerpoint on relevant literary terms.
- Please be aware that I will often use the full 2hrs from to accommodate technical issues, presentations and workshops...
