Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

Students shall know the scope of media law, the obligations of media owners and be able to assess typical risks connected with media law

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

Lecture, Case Studies, Discussion

Course content

  • Basics of Media Law, Fundamental rights involved
  • Definition and types of media (online, offline etc)
  • Obligation of media owners
  • Criminal offenses via media
  • Discussion of interesting and recent cases in media law
  • Media law-related e-commerce law
  • Media law-related intellectual property law

Prior knowledge expected

  • Basic knowledge of the law system
