Intended learning outcomes

Die Absolventen der Lehrveranstaltung kennen den grundsätzlichen Aufbau von Workflow Management Systemen, kennen die wichtigsten Einsatzbereiche von Workflow Systemen, können Workflows modellieren und mittels WfMS umsetzen, kennen und verstehen die wichtigsten Basistechnologien für Workflow Systeme und kennen die wichtigste klassische und aktuelle wissenschaftliche Literatur im Bereich Workflow Systeme.

Course content

Die Lehrveranstaltung führt in den Bereich Workflow Systeme ein, zeigt die wichtigsten Modellierungstechniken und Architekturen von Workflow Systemen und führt dahin, mit Hilfe eines Workflow Management Systems kleinere Workflows selbständig zu implementieren.

Intended learning outcomes

After this lecture students - know the basic architecture of workflow management systems - know the most important application areas of workflow systems - are able to model workflows and implemt workflows using a workflow management system - know the most relevant classical and actual literature in the area.

Course content

The lecture introduces workflow systems, shows the most important modeling techniques and architectures of workflow systems and leads to the contruction of workflow applications using a workflow management system.
