  • Synchronization of nodes
  • Wireless Communication of nodes

Soft-skills:

  • Problem solving
  • Troubleshooting
  • Independence
  • Planning
  • Meeting deadlines

Course content

Course Overview

The semester is going to be divided into 4 periods.

At the beginning of each period the students are going to be presented with an assignment sheet and the required hardware to implement the tasks of the assignment.

The assignments are built in a built-up fashion, in a sense that, knowledge from implementing the previous assignment is going to be essential for the next assignment.

By the end of every period the students have to submit a project report and their implementations via moodle.

At the end of the 4th period an individual oral examination/discussion is to be given.

Assignments:

  • Basics
  • Networking
  • Synchronization
  • Small project

Prior knowledge expected

  • Core concepts of Wireless Sensor Networks
  • Main programming language to be used is C/C++
(Identical to the programming language used for the programming of the Arduino Boards)
  • Python (Basic)

Examination information

Im Fall von online durchgeführten Prüfungen sind die Standards zu beachten, die die technischen Geräte der Studierenden erfüllen müssen, um an diesen Prüfungen teilnehmen zu können.

Assessment criteria / Standards of assessment for examinations

Every student in order to successfully complete the course, has to complete a series of 4 assignments and obtain positive grading on every assignment. Namely:

  • 3 Lab reports (i.e. assignments 1, 2, 3)
  • 1 Presentation of assignment 4

The final grade is equal with the average of the 4 assignments to be handed.
