Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
This seminar is an excellent opportunity to learn about the concepts of self-organizing systems and to discuss about newest research results in a small group. The seminar is held in English. Students from all disciplines are welcome.
Goals
- Learn about self-organizing systems
- Improve (non-Powerpoint) presentation skills
- Learn about the review process of a conference system
- Improve your writing skills
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
Schedule
- Read papers from reading list
- Select one paper from second list
- Present this paper in front of group
- Make literature research to find other related papers
- Select one of these on your own and present
- Write short report 5-6 pages on the two papers, refer to others
- submit paper in conference system
- review two other reports (anonymously)
- Improve your report based on reviews and submit final version
