Although mainstream psychology has so far not explicitly dealt with so-called “postmodern” developments, the field’s understanding of epistemological and methodological clarity and cleanliness has changed, not least because of the replication crisis. This presentation introduces the topic of the two symposia and provides insights into what is understood by "modern" and "postmodern" in other scientific disciplines. Furthermore, it gives a short overview to the contributions of the symposia.
