Titel: Challenges of distance learning: The role of self-regulation skills and a growth mindset
Beschreibung:

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, teachers around the world are required to teach children online. This form of teaching is known as “distance learning”.However, the idea of distance learning is older than the Covid 19 pandemic. Distance education is a challenge for everyone involved. In addition to the technical requirements, there are some psychological issues, which can impair but also facilitate distance education, such as self-regulation skills. This presentation will address what forms of distance education are available, which are appropriate for younger and older students, and the role of students' self-regulation skills. Lastly, I will address how self-regulation skills, student goal orientation, and a growth mindset can foster motivation in the classroom as well as in distance learning.
