Title: Phenomenology of Diversity
Description:

The presentation is based on experiences with students in courses on socialisation, diversity and education at the University of Klagenfurt. Using phenomenologically oriented methods (vignettes according to Schratz/Schwarz/Westfall-Greiter 2012 and performative expressions cf. Peterlini 2017), the students develop dense descriptions, depictions and scenes from lived experiences. These can be based on actions/interactions in the classroom as well as in other social spaces. In the interpretation through intersubjective reading, these captured moments are subjected to a common reflection on socialising influences

In this way, the potential of phenomenological approaches as critical approach for dealing with diversity and difference will be explored.
