Titel: Aproaches of Integration-Findings of Cross-boarder Research and First Ideas for Further Projects
Beschreibung: A few approaches of integration — tourism, economical cooperation and economic effects of transport networks — have already been part of first findings of geographers from Klagenfurt. The cross-border tourist map „Carta Terra Amicitiae“ of the communities Arnoldstein, Finkenstein, Kranj ska Gora, Bovec, Tarvisio and Maiborghetto-Valbruna, produced by our team (Department of Geography and Regional Studies at the Alps-Adriatic-University of Klagenfurt) in cooperation with the local tourist information centres, includes the tourist facilities, hiking and cycling routes, natural and cultural monuments of this area. In the sense of the ARGE „Terra Amicitiae“ (mayors of the six cooperating communities), this map is designed to give tourists information as weil as to bring the people of neighbouring municipalities closer together to create a new common mental map in the Alps Adriatic Region.
