Titel: The Session of the IASE Journal – Statistics Education Research Journal (SERJ). IPS 153. 61st ISI World Statistics Congress. Marrakech
Beschreibung:

There is a growing interest in SERJ by submission of papers. Besides regular papers, the journal follows the idea of special issues, which may be devoted to a specific topic such as Statistical Literacy, or which may be the result of elaborating the papers of a conference. The variety of topics illustrates the wide spectrum that the journal covers but also the wide range of expertise that is needed to organise the refereeing process in order to guarantee a high quality of papers. The burden on editors and associate editors may be relieved a little by introducing an electronic submission system. This transition and the need to improve the ranking of the journal might make it necessary to hand over the publication to a publishing house. This, however, raises opportunities AND challenges. One big issue will be to preserve open access as this seems to be vital for an international association with the focus of research in education and the target to initiate changes in actual teaching by our journal.
